As our Branch Manager Joe Rylett mentioned in his Spring update, the sales market in WD3 has been incredibly buoyant this year, with price increases on average around 17% year on year, but in some town centre locations reaching as high as 25%.
In September there were 161 properties on the market in our area and a tremendous 78,000 Rightmove searches for property in Rickmansworth alone, further fuelling the market, giving our Rickmansworth branch the best sales month so far in 2014.
However, we are starting to see a plateau now, with activity slowing slightly as we head towards the end of the year. I think that the recent indication from the Bank of England governor Mark Carney, that interest rate rises will be gradual and limited, is encouraging for the continuation of a strong market as we move into 2015.
