We had our first Skype viewing at Sewell Gardner this week which was a great success.
Our potential buyer, who is currently living in New York, is moving back to the UK in a months time and although he will rent first his aim is to find a property tobuy. Like a lot of our applicants looking for property in Chorleywood he has been drawn to this location by the fantastic Primary Schools, and in particular the Ofsted rated outstanding received by St Clement Danes Secondary School, the great transport links both train and motorway, and the community and village lifestyle.
We had been in email contact with this potential buyer for a couple of weeks when he booked a flight over to see a property with us. Unfortunately this property was not quite what he was looking for so back to New York he went. When our property on Beechwood Avenue came onto the market we contacted him immediately as it seemed to tick all of the boxes; Detached family home with potential to extend close to the schools.

We suggested a skype call to show him the property as it was not feasible for him to book another flight and he was worried that he would miss out on the property. The Skype call went ahead and we spent 45 minutes showing our buyer every corner of the property and even up in the loft! Our buyer was so impressed with Beechwood Avenue that he made an offer within 2% of asking price within a few hours.

We believe we are the first Agents in the area to receive an offer through a Skype viewing. However, in other countries Skype viewings are very popular, particularly in Bulgaria!
