In 2021 we have supported the Peace Hospice in some exhilarating, sweaty but most of all really fun ways! Starting with the sponsored sky dive back in July, the bravest members of our team took to the skies in our most exhilarating fundraising activity yet! It was such an enjoyable, brilliantly organised day that we are delighted we got the opportunity to get involved in. A couple of our team who watched from the ground are already inspired to take part next year and we would recommend it to all you thrill seekers out there or anyone looking to challenge themselves.
As September came to a close, our team took to two wheels in our next fundraising challenge, Pedal for the Peace. We collectively cycled around 365 miles between us which if we were cycling from our Rickmansworth office would get us across the border into Scotland! I think we surprised ourselves with how long we could keep cycling for a great cause. We strongly encourage any local businesses to get involved in this event regardless of fitness levels. It was such a fun day out the office and well worth getting a bit sweaty to raise over £1000!
Just a few weeks later the 30th Anniversary golf day at The Grove rolled around and with keen golfers in our team this was a no brainer. We were delighted to hear that £35,000 was raised from the day and it was once again a great success.
These are just 3 of the many fundraising events the Peace Hospice have held this year and we are always impressed by the fun, creative ways they engage with the local community. At Sewell & Gardner we choose to support the Peace Hospice as they have touched so many of our teams’ lives, supporting their families and loved ones over the last 30 years. The care given and the support provided is invaluable to so many local families and we are passionate about ensuring the Peace Hospice have everything they need to continue to offer this going forward.
