It has been an exciting and busy year for new homes, probably also one of our most successful ones too!
We have been kept extremely busy with our site at Farriers Wood, which I have to be honest, it is up there with one of my all-time favourite sites (and trust me I have dealt with a few over the last 13 years)! Farriers Wood has had something for all our buyers from one bed apartments to large four bedroom detached family homes. We have seen a variety or buyers come through the doors of our marketing suite over the last year and then have watched them move into their new homes. Completion day on the 28th June was definitely my favourite working day of the year ….10 people moved into their new homes in one day and we celebrated with all the new neighbours by being at the ready with Champagne and snacks, it was a busy street scene!
We have learnt an incredible amount from Inland Homes who are a fantastic developer and we hope that once this site ends early next year, we will be able to work with them again.
Farriers was not the only success story of the year, our apartments at Aston Grange achieved record prices and as the year closes, we only have a few remaining at our largest scheme Atmosphere. Whilst the market has been tough and overall generally slightly quieter than we had hoped, our new homes team sales have definitely been fuelled by the government Help to Buy Scheme with over 70% of our buyers using the initiative.
We look forward to 2020, we have some beautiful new homes schemes to launch and are excited to venturing into some shared ownership sales.
