Judging for The Property Awards for Women

This week I have been judging some of the nominees in 4 of the categories for the fantastic Property Awards for Women!

I am so honoured to be a judge at this first ever awards for women in the property industry, having been in the industry myself since 1987 and still loving it every day.  I have to say that I have spoken to some very inspiring women this week and I am so excited to meet with my fellow judges in a few weeks time to discuss all the interesting conversations I have had.

Property Awards for Women

The Property Awards for Women 2011 celebrates the invaluable contribution women make to the property industry.  Nominations have been accepted from all corners of the property world from buying to selling, letting to new build and from finance to customer service.  The panel of judges bring together their many years of experience, wealth of knowledge and eye for excellence to choose the winners from each of the categories.  The award ceremony will be presented by Karren Brady at The Innovative Property Show on Thursday 3rd November 2011.

The venue is the iconic Wembley Stadium, please visit the Innovative Property Show’s website for further venue details; www.innovativepropertyshow.co.uk

The Awards will be presented by Karren Brady who is a British sporting executive and television broadcaster, assistant to Lord Alan Sugar on the popular TV show, “The Apprentice”.  Previously Karren was managing director of Birmingham City Football Club, appointed in March 1993 when only 23 years old!  In 2002 became the first woman to hold such a post in the top flight of English football when the team was promoted and in January 2010 she was appointed vice-chairman of West Ham United following a change of ownership of the club.

I hope that as many of you as possible are able to attend the event and share my delight when the Awards are announced.  I am convinced that some of the women I have spoken to will be big industry names in the future!
