Starting at a new company can be very daunting, especially when it’s been a long time since you’ve been the new person! In addition, I previously worked in Pinner so had a new area and prices to get to grips with. I originally decided I wanted to branch out and join the team at Sewell & Gardner in Rickmansworth as a Sales Manager because I was keen to try a new area after working in Pinner for more than 10 years.

Since walking into the Rickmansworth office the whole team have been very welcoming and eager to help which makes settling in a lot easier. Coming into a new company with different systems and protocols can be difficult, however, having come from another agent with a far more aggressive approach it has been refreshing to join a company who very much put people first before profit which fits the way I like to work a lot better. S&G is a family run business where everyone has a voice and I have felt more involved and able to put my own ideas forward here than I have in past jobs.

Having been here for a few months, I am really enjoying meeting new people, managing and sharing my work habits with my team and learning more about the property market in this patch. With over 10 year experience in the industry, I am looking forward to helping the more junior members of the team progress and also learning from my peers.

Through hard work and eagerness I think I am fitting into the team well and having a positive impact. I hope to continue the progress I am making at the same rate and am looking forward to being a local expert and part of many peoples moving journey. It is a weird time for many at the moment with much uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus but the property market remains open through this lockdown, with the additional stamp duty incentive helping to get people moving. If you think it’s time to make a move, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on 01923 776400 or gavin@sewellgardner.com, I’d love to hear from you.
