In 2020 house prices in Rickmansworth remained high. The stamp duty holiday definitely gave the market a boost as we saw increased enquiries, registrations and viewing levels. In the second half of 2020 our new applicant registrations increased by 80% compared to the second half of 2019, showing just how many people were interested in moving in this period and taking advantage of the stamp duty holiday. We found that the majority of our buyers were coming from local areas.

Rickmansworth is always a popular place to buy due to the excellent transport links, including easy access to the M25 and fast train links via the Met Line or the Chiltern Railway line into London. The area also benefits from outstanding primary & secondary school options making it a popular choice for families. As we wait to see if the stamp duty holiday is extended, we have had a strong level of deals agreed in January, showing there is still demand.
