It is the week commencing April the 12th. The week we can finally get our hair cut, get our nails done professionally, go shopping for our favourite outfits and enjoy some good food & drinks in a pub garden with our friends. We are starting to get some normality back so things are looking positive! All we need now is some warm weather to compliment our pub garden visits.
With our head office being located on Rickmansworth High Street, it has been great seeing the High Street lively with people out and about enjoying the reopening of local businesses. It is safe to say we won’t be taking the small things for granted like shopping in our favourite local spot. We will be doing our best to shop and spend locally to support our High Streets and help bring back the life and spirit to our towns. In light of this news we would like to share what favourite local business our team members are looking forward to visiting.
Emily Armstrong: ‘I am looking forward to visiting Zaza’s in Rickmansworth, it’s my favourite local restaurant. My first table is booked for our 4th wedding anniversary and luckily for us it’s now within walking distance of home!’
Claudia Button: ‘I am excited to visit what was my second home… Anytime Fitness gym in Croxley business park! I have missed my gym routine so it will be great to be able to add this into my daily routine & get in good shape for the summer season.’
Kevin Anderson: ‘I’m looking forward to visiting my favourite barbers Mastercut on Courtlands Drive in Watford. Desperate for a fresh trim!’
Amie Olive: ‘I’m looking forward to going back to Pump Gym on Tolpits Lane in Watford and getting back into my gym routine.’
Louise Felgate: ‘I will be visiting any of the pubs so I can soak up the atmosphere with friends, eat a meal I haven’t cooked and hopefully sit in the sun, but if you want specifics – I want to list the Coach and Artichoke on the Green because I’m a Croxley massive!’
Alex Sewell: ‘I am looking forward to this weekend because the bar & kitchen has finally opened at my local rugby club Fullerians. So this Sunday after our match, I look forward to having a beer with my fellow coaches on the patio at the rugby club and maybe a burger from the kitchen. Hopefully the sun will be shining!’
Grace Spence: ‘I am looking forward to going to my favourite restaurant, Miller and Carter in Rickmansworth. I love their steaks and I always eat way too much when I go!’
Sophie Button: ‘I can’t wait to make an overdue trip to The Florist in Watford because it’s my favourite local place to go with friends and the food is amazing.’
It was great seeing some of the Joan Of Arc year 12 students getting creative and producing some fantastic chalk animals outside some of the local businesses along Rickmansworth High Street this week. Not only were they celebrating the re-opening of businesses but they have brightened the High Street, making it cheery & colourful! We hope to see some more amazing street art soon.
We hope you are as excited as we are to get some normality back to our lives & start socialising with our friends again! Supporting your favourite local business is so important not only from a financial point of view, but popping in to see the staff and having a chat can make such a positive difference to their day! It’s the small gestures in life that go a long way, so spread happiness where you can as things are looking up! We hope you have some nice plans for the weekend and remember to stay safe.
