The housing market has been given the go ahead to stay open and we will continue to operate in the safest way possible, meaning we will still be able to help you move over this period. Following government guidance, our office doors will be locked and should only be visited by appointment only so that we can create the safest environment for you to speak to a member of our team. And of course, we are just a phone call away so don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out more.

Annus Horriblus or Mirabilis?

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, some great things have happened this year, but it has been a slog at the same time.  Buyer & seller uncertainty is high, and we have jumped from one uncertainty to the other throughout the year.

My hope is that 2020 will be a steady year, the election settles consumer confidence and people feel secure to start planning for the future again.  Ironically, an uncertain property market does make for a good time to buy and sell, especially if you are moving up the ladder, but this is always difficult to convince people of.

I have a positive mindset however and therefore my focus is on the good things that have happened this year, which is no specific order are:

  • We moved house in January – the day before the huge downfall in snow!
  • We have further diversified the business, increasing new income streams.
  • Liverpool won the European Cup!

We won’t mention that England lost a World Cup final and just focus on the positive!

Here’s to a great 2020 and thanks to all our customers for their business in 2019.
