What a year it has been for house prices in Croxley Green! When the news was announced on the 23rd March 2020 that the UK had been placed into a national lockdown and the property market would be closed with immediate effect, there was real belief across the whole housing market and it was widely reported in the press that house prices would tumble. However, once the announcement was made that the market would open again on the 13th May 2020, undoubtedly there were going to be a lot of people looking for properties but the influx of interest for properties in Croxley Green was beyond what we could have imagined.

Then with the further news on 8th July that there would be a stamp duty holiday introduced to push the property market even further, Croxley Green as an area thrived, with most properties coming to the market receiving large amounts of interest and multiple offers, regularly achieving asking price or over. We were seeing properties in Croxley come to the market and go under offer within a week or two, a dream situation for anyone in a hurry to move.

Coming into this new year of 2021 with a lot positivity coming out regarding a vaccine and normality, it would have been easy to start thinking that it would continue as it was, however, with the strict new lockdown coming into play as soon as the 2nd Jan 2021 and the stamp duty coming holiday due to come to an end on the 31st March 2021, it remains to be seen if house prices will take a slight hit.

One thing to be said about Croxley Green, is that it feels like a mini market that holds a strong grip on prices and we are hopeful it will continue in that vein. With excellent schooling, transport links into London and a fantastic community village feel, Croxley Green will always be a popular location to move into and we always receive a lot of interest on properties we launch there. Having grown up in Croxley myself, I can personally vouch for what an excellent place to live it is for families and can answer any questions you may have about the area.
