What makes Rickmansworth and it’s surrounding towns such great places to live, and somewhere people aspire to move to and often never move away from?
Is it the fantastic facilities on offer, from great schools, transport links including the Metropolitan line tube, national rail (Chiltern Line) & two M25 junctions (18 & 17); lots of shops in the lively town centre; plenty of places to eat and drink; green spaces like the Aquadrome, and the fabulous Grand Union Canal, which runs right through with all those beautiful canal boats to watch floating by.
Of course, it could be down to the brilliant people who make it their business to promote the area to new residents, extol it’s virtues to anyone ready to listen and to keep commerce modern and relevant, so that once people move here and they rarely want or need to leave?
As a local business we are always trying to keep ahead of the game, and we have found that social media is a great way of communicating with the local community and also a fab way to network from the comfort of our desks or even the sofa at home in the evenings! We have a community Facebook page, www.facebook.com/sewellgardner and we tweet, so please follow us @sewellgardner and let us know of anything that is going on in the community, so that we can retweet to our followers too. Of course, we all contribute to this blog too, and we sincerely hope you find it useful and informative to read.
Every member of the Sewell & Gardner team is proud to be involved in the community and we all carry out numerous charity events AND actively promote our town of Rickmansworth, as well as our other business locations Croxley Green, Chorleywood & Watford. As active members of the Rickmansworth Town Team, a non-profit making organisation, we are delighted to be integral in the organisation and implementation of such events as the ‘Rickmansworth Christmas Evening’ held in the high Street on the last Friday of every November. We are always looking to welcome other like-minded individuals or businesses into our Town Team, so if you are reading this and would like to hear more, please feel free to come along and join us at our next event or email info@rickmansworthtown.co.uk.

Sewell & Gardner operate a REWARD CARD SCHEME for our valued customers and we are always promoting local businesses because we want our towns to receive the trade they needs to remain as fabulous as they are today. If you are a local business, or know of one, and would be interested in hearing more information about our reward card scheme, please do not hesitate to ask me on jane@sewellgardner.com.
Keep it local #Rickmansworth!
