Here I am a couple months into my Sewell & Gardner journey, and I have to say so far it’s been fantastic!
As most people would be, I was quite nervous starting a new job especially as I worked at my previous company for 8 years and was very much stuck in a routine. The fact I was working in residential sales before and was going into a specific new homes role also scared me a little but even after my first day at S&G I realised it was a decision I would not regret.
Learning about the new build schemes that are available for buyers now has been quite exciting and really gives me the hope that the property market will still hold strong even with Brexit approaching. It’s so refreshing to work in an environment where everybody works together as a team rather than the typical competitive atmosphere found in most estate agents. My colleagues in the New Homes team really push each other to do well and everyone is always more than happy to take time out of their day to lend a helping hand if needed.
One area where I have really noticed a difference, compared to my previous company, is that even once a property has reached successful completion Sewell & Gardner still make the effort to follow up and ensure the purchaser is happy by calling them a few days later to make sure they are all settled in. I also think it is a lovely personal touch to meet the purchaser on completion day at their new home along with their keys, a bottle of prosecco and card.
The general attention to detail here and care for vendors and purchasers has really impressed me and I can see why Sewell & Gardner get so much repeat business time after time and great customer reviews. I look forward to learning more over the next few months and continuing my journey within the New Homes team at S&G!
