We appreciate that every client is unique and there isn’t a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution when it comes to marketing a property. Whilst some of our clients choose to take full advantage of the available marketing channels, others prefer to take a more discreet approach.

Often when we are speaking to local people who are considering a move, the question ‘is your property on the market yet?’ is followed quickly by something along the lines of ‘oh gosh no, we don’t want to put ours on until we have found something!’. The thought of ‘for sale’ boards, internet advertising and the whole neighbourhood knowing that your house is for sale (and for how much) fills them with fear!

What they don’t know is that a lot of the properties that we sell never appear on the internet or have a board outside.  We have an extensive database of serious buyers who we speak to regularly and who we can contact when a suitable property comes on to the market.  An added benefit to this approach is that is allows us to ‘test the water’ with the asking price, without having to resort to the dreaded ‘reduced’ label if a buyer isn’t found at the initial asking price.
