Christmas is my favourite time of year, I love spending time with my friends and family, and being able to show everyone how much I care by showering them with gifts. I do however recognise that this time of year isn’t so joyous for many people who don’t have family and friends around them, the money to buy Christmas presents or even a roof over their heads or food to eat. At Sewell & Gardner we decided we would like to do something to make a difference and help out some of those local to us who are not so fortunate.

My daughter is relishing in her chocolate treat every morning from her Peppa Pig calendar and it got me thinking, perhaps we could give something each day up to Christmas to those in need. We have now set up a company advent hamper and each day up till Christmas we are donating an item or two of food. We have already gathered a large selection of goodies, from tins of beans, rice pudding and cereal to cakes and chocolate; come Christmas it will be overflowing with food items. We are going to donate this Christmas hamper of food to the Watford Foodbank and we really hope it will go a long way to feed those who aren’t so fortunate.

If you would like to donate anything, please do not hesitate to pop into our Rickmansworth branch at 165-167 High Street, to drop off some spare non perishable food, all donations will be very gratefully received!
Thank you and Merry Christmas!
