As we move into a new year we have had some time to reflect on 2018 and what we have achieved as a business. I think most people will agree 2018 has seemed like a hard year, working in a challenging political climate with a high level of uncertainty. Despite this, we are proud to have achieved a lot as a business and are confident that as a team we are in good shape and ready for the year ahead. Here’s a look back at some of our 2018 highlights…
Earlier this year we re-launched our lettings service. Having previously run a very successful lettings department which was sold in 2014, we were restricted and unable to trade in lettings for 4 years. 2018 was our first opportunity to re-launch this essential service and become a full property consultancy again. We welcomed Neil Spencer to the S&G team as our new Head of Lettings. With over 13 years of experience in the industry and a vision of offering the most streamlined and efficient lettings service possible, Neil is confidently running the lettings team and we look forward to seeing this grow in 2019.
We also welcomed another very experienced newcomer to the team this year in the form of David Bonnar, who is managing our Rickmansworth and Croxley Green offices. Coming from a long background in the financial service sector and estate agency, David strives to offer the best customer experience to all clients, something which fits in line with our brand values perfectly. David has built a passionate and driven team who are looking forward to what 2019 has in store.
In September we were the ones moving home for once! We said goodbye to our Watford office on Lord Street, re-locating the same great team to our new home at 32 Langley Road. We are delighted with the look and feel of the office and are thrilled with the new location in Nascot Wood, not just due to the close proximity to the Nascot Arms! Nascot Wood has such a great community feel which we are excited to be a part of it.
It has been a busy 2018 for our land department which has grown from strength to strength this year. Led by Sammy Walton, one of our longest standing members of staff, we offer a service which combines knowledge with an in-depth understanding of our clients needs. Our land team have had their best year yet and 2019 is already looking bright. This combined with another successful year for our new homes team, means we are confident that we can offer the most comprehensive land & new homes service in the area.
Lastly, but most certainly not least, our Chorleywood office had another fantastic year, reaching over 40% market share for 2018. This is a great achievement for any high street estate agent and something we are very proud to have accomplished since opening in Chorleywood 12 years ago.
