The housing market has been given the go ahead to stay open and we will continue to operate in the safest way possible, meaning we will still be able to help you move over this period. Following government guidance, our office doors will be locked and should only be visited by appointment only so that we can create the safest environment for you to speak to a member of our team. The move from sales to lettings

I joined Sewell & Gardner in December 2018 as a Property Consultant in our Rickmansworth sales team. After learning the basics of estate agency and developing my customer service skills, this year I was given the opportunity to join the Lettings team and I haven’t looked back since! The Lettings department has been so busy over the last few months. There is a huge demand for rental houses with garden and space to work from home to adjust to the ‘new normal’. Properties are not staying on the market for very long, with most going under offer at asking price and even some over!

After just a few months working in lettings I have learnt so much. The fast-paced nature of lettings suits me perfectly. I find it so rewarding showing someone round on their first viewing, guiding them through the process and them moving in just a few weeks later! I love meeting new people and as we are receiving so much interest on properties at the moment, I am constantly out and about on viewings doing exactly that. There is also a more technical side to lettings, including property management and accounts, which I look forward to learning more about as I progress in the department. Legislation is constantly changing so I am sure I will be kept on my toes!

I am very pleased I was offered the position in lettings, it was the right move for me and I’m excited to continue my career at Sewell & Gardner in this busy, expanding department.
